Review of The Secret of Ella and Micha by Jessica Sorensen

Description:

Ella and Micha have been best friends since they were kids. But one tragic night shatters their friendship and their lives forever.

Ella used to be a rule-breaker with fiery attitude who wore her heart on her sleeve. But she left everything behind when she went to college and transformed into someone that follows the rules, keeps everything together, and hides all her problems. But now it's summer break and she has nowhere else to go but home.

Ella fears everything she worked so hard to bury might resurface, especially with Micha living right next door. If Micha tries to tempt the old her back, she knows that it will be hard to resist.

Micha is sexy, smart, confident, and can get under Ella’s skin like no one else can. He knows everything about her, including her darkest secrets. And he’s determined to bring his best friend, and the girl he loves back, no matter what it takes.

Review:

It's time to get out the tissues peeps. *weeps*.  This story grabs you tight and doesn't let go.  You will connect with the characters from the beginning and it's a gripping read.

The Good:  What about it wasn't good?  It was amazing!  Even through all the tears, I was engrossed until the very end.  I loved that Lila turned out to be less than perfect.  She's a good friend and I love the friendship that built between her and Ella.  Ella starts of as a damaged soul and unfolds before your eyes on the pages.  She is a character that wants to be tough, but the ghosts of her past just won't let her.

The Bad:  This book is filled with intense situations.  It's not for the faint of heart.  There were some gritty concepts enfolded in those pages.

The Sexy:  This book had so much heat, it's smoking.  The scenes were raw and realistic.  Gah! Micha is hot with his blond hair, aqua eyes and a sexy lip ring.

Overall:  I'm a sucker for a sappy romance!  I can't say enough about the awesomeness of this book.  Jessica Sorensen is a force to be reckoned with.  I am ready for the sequel to be out this winter!! I give this read five glittery stars for being such an engaging read.
